Dayton Oakes
Sergeant Dayton Oakes served with the United States Marines in both World War Two and Korea. Dayton saw combat with the 1st Marine Division in Korea from 1951 to 1952. He was wounded in action in October of 1951 on hill 412. Dayton served in the Marines until he was honorably discharged in 1958.
