
Raymond Cottrell
Ray Cottrell was a Platoon Sgt of the 31st Inf at the Chosin Reservoir and served at Inchon Landing, Hyesanjin, Chosin, and other locations. Returning home in November 1951. Retired US Army CSM Fort Knox Kentucky with 21 years service. Buried in Brandenburg Kentucky.

A massive artillery barrage from the North signals the beginning of the Korean War. Roughly 100,000 North Korean troops pour across the 38th parallel, and, although South Korean forces are driven back, they retire in good order.
