Infantry Marine who spent 13 months on the Main Line of Resistance (Front line) fighting the Chinese from 1952-1953 until the truce was signed. Wounded in the ‘53 spring Chinese offensive & returned to the fight at Forward Observation Post Dagmar on “The Jamestown Line”.

Truce talks between the UN and the communists begin at Kaesŏng. The negotiations do not mark an end to the war, however; the fighting continues for two more years. In October the peace talks relocate to the village of P’anmunjŏm.
